Problem Solving

With the process of Dynamic Facilitation.

"There is no problem that can withstand the assault of sustained thinking"

- Voltaire.

Dynamic Facilitation

Dynamic Facilitation is a problem solving process for those that want to resolve things at their root causes, rather than simply generate the next idea. It is a transformative process that alows you to experience a new way of thinking, and create a unifying new idea, that sweeps the problem out of the way.

This process works on every scale -from the individual, to groups, businesses, to society as a whole. There is no problem it can not tackle - it resolves even the impossible-to-solve problems.

This method is a simple, reliable, tried and true method developed over 40 years by Jim Rough of the Center for Wise Democracy, a non-profit of which I am part.

What differentiates this method, and makes it so effective, is that there is no place that we can not go with it. We start with the problem and follow the thread until we have it by its root. We pull the problem out by its root cause, which transforms how everybody sees and thinks about the problem. At this point the group will unify around a new, previously unseen solution-resulting in resolve, relief and a new, clear way forward.

Our second differentiating factor is that this method handles complexity through facilitation rather than by teaching models or new ways of thinking. We lead you to a place where you naturally experience your thoughts around the problem transforming. That is where the solution emerges. I do not teach you anything, I facilitate.

The third differentiating factor is that this process encourages truth-sharing and emotions - there is no part of this conversation that is not welcome. This means that unlike many other processes of this kind, we can go deeper by resolving interpersonal frustrations and conflicts.

The process is the same for an individual, but the unity arrived at is personal and internal.

For solo sessions most people arrive at a resolution in one 4 hour session, and they always walk away with the way they think about the problem being transformed.

For a group or business, we solve it in a series of 5 sessions.

For organizational change, I recommend ongoing monthly sessions.

This process in not simply team-building, it creates teams by allowing them to unify around a solution they create together. On the way to this solution, usually a whole host of minor problems get solved along the way.
