Coaching
I help mission-driven men understand themselves in order to climb their first or second mountains, by taking a hard look at themselves, supporting them to figure out and shift what is standing in their way from the life they truly desire.
As a coach and wilderness guide, I help mission driven men in Tech and other STEM fields climb their first or second mountains by developing a deeper, more integrated sense of self - resulting in better relationships with women, a healthier relationship with work, and a greater ability to manage those that work under them.

The hero’s journey is the journey of the masculine coming to terms with itself through knowing the feminine - this is the process that births the mature masculine, and the natural leader.

Our culture values the stoic masculine, it teaches men to ignore their emotions and intuitions, which works for a while, but is not the true path to a strong, stable masculine. We know that this teaching often leads to midlife crisis, depression, anxiety, imposter syndrome, a pattern of unsatisfying relationships with women, or a sense of being in the wrong place.

This masculine paradigm often leads us to being unsatisfied with life, wanting more from it, but unable to achieve what we want.

I teach men to pay attention to their emotions and intuitions, to process their past, to play well with the feminine, to connect more deeply with men on the same path - so that they can build the stable foundation within - enabling them to create the life they desire, with the impact, experiences and relationships they want.

Much of my work focuses on communication, leadership and emotional intelligence - the skills a stable life is built on.

I draw together lessons learnt as an Ecologist and Climate Scientist, with myth, desire, different coaching modalities and a model of understanding the world through the hero’s journey and the masculine - feminine lens.

It is said that by necessity a man must become the hero of his own journey, this is that path.
When men are ready, I take them on journeys into the unknown - with wilderness journeys - a time honored form of masculine initiation.

I also teach men wilderness skills and take them on adventures a lifetime in the Arctic.

This is where men come when they've tried everything else and found out it doesn't work - it requires grit to find gold.
